Birthday For Kid Hong Kong

The older I get, I find it harder and harder to host a nice decent birthday party. Since people have different working schedules, living in different places, maybe I don't have as many friends as I was younger, and most importantly, most people don't have that much time to spend with you except maybe for just a dinner.
So now I wonder, birthday parties for kids are actually truly meaningful. Since first, Most of their friends would usually be their school mates which often would be living in nearby areas, so there wouldn't be a location problem; and kids don't have to worry about work schedules; plus, kids have the most pure friendships which should definitely be cherished.
Let's say we want to make the first 12 birthday parties for the kids amazing, how are we going to come up with 12 different birthday party ideas? Here I am providing some tips for hosting a birthday party for kids in Hong Kong.
We can start from cake, now there is a lot of private bakeries that customize fancy cakes for birthdays. Some of these places offer 3D birthday cakes with figure that the birthday kids like. I have seen cakes that shaped like a truck, some like made out from Lego, and some like a guitar. I'm sure the birthday kids and their friends would be happy seeing such a wonderful cake.
Secondly, the party itself! If affordable, inviting some performers would boost up the atmosphere. It could be a clown, some magic shows, some balloon shows, some painting get together workshops, cooking workshops or science shows. Because kids do not have much to talk about like when adults get together, they tend to just be running around and chase after each other and laugh. But if there's a focus for them to do something in the party, they would find the party more unique unlike another Sunday kids day.

Thirdly, organizing some group games to get the birthday party started is always a great idea. I have
seen parents playing musical games with the kids such as musical chairs, freeze dance, stepping balloons etc… it wouldn't only entertain the kids, also to get them emotionally ready for the party and to get along with other kids if some of them are not that close.

Although it's a birthday party, we still hope the kids to be able to bring home something. Learning something new would be a bonus for a birthday party. The workshops that I mentioned earlier would be able to provide some hands-on experience for the kids. Yet, science shows or something like that would also be knowledgeable as well. And most of the time, kids learn better while playing. They put themselves entirely in the session, unlike in school, they could ask questions out from their curiosity along the way. I have seen kids asking very interesting questions such as “how cold is dry ice?” “Can I make dry ice?” Some even asked higher level questions like “is slime made out of borax?” Most of the time, kids are willing to dig in and find out answers by themselves even after the science show.

Overall, organizing a party isn't always challenging but making it fun and unforgettable could be a headache. I hope my little suggestions are helpful enough for making another wonderful birthday party happens.
